About Me

It began when I fled a career in advertising to study a Masters of Food Culture and Communications at the University of Gastronomic Sciences in Italy.

I knew I couldn’t continue working in an industry intent on creating problems to be solved by consumerism, and I wanted to surround myself with people who cared deeply about food. Italy is a pretty good place for that.

My studies exposed me to the reality of our food systems and how much work there is to do to make them equitable and sustainable. Following my heart as well as job opportunities, I travelled from Italy to Colombia, then Norway and back home to Australia, working across the cacao and coffee sectors to build brands for high-quality, traceable and delicious food and beverages.

Over time, my work expanded beyond brand and communications into strategy, positioning and marketing leadership. I now work as an independent advisor across purpose, strategy and marketing, helping organisations clarify what they stand for, align their teams and strategy, and communicate clearly so their work and impact are understood.

I mostly work with organisations in food, agriculture and values-led businesses, often at moments of growth or change when direction, positioning and marketing need to be brought back into alignment.
